Although the term “Global release” can often be vague, it often doesn’t guarantee availability for certain markets like the United States.

When asked by a Nokia fan on Twitter, Nokia set the record straight on Twitter by confirming that the Android Nokia devices will, indeed, be launching in the US.

As Nokia tweets, the Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 smartphones will be coming to the US as per its “global release”.

Given that these are low to mid-range devices, we can expect to see them available on a direct-to-consumer basis, likely through an online retailer like Amazon or B&H Photo.

Once Nokia feels the waters, it can then proceed to making a deal with a mobile operator like T-Mobile or Cricket Wireless.

As the tweet suggests, you can head to Nokia.com/phones to register for updates.

We expect the US will be waiting for these phones for a least a few months.
